I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix 0 j* [# e! d3 X1 L " d2 X# H9 F: ]: a! b, ]!
